About the Triple M 1000

What is the Triple M 1000?

The Triple M 1000 is the countdown of the 1,000 greatest songs of all time, chosen by you.

Every listener votes for their ten favourite songs. We add up the votes, and the 1,000 songs with the most votes make the countdown on Triple M.

When can I vote?

Voting opens 6:00 AM Tuesday 6th October 2026 and closes 8:00PM Sunday 15th November 2026.

The Triple M 1000 countdown begins Monday 23rd November 2026.

Where do I vote?

You can vote in the LiSTNR app on iPhone or Android(App version 4.43.0 and above) , or on LiSTNR on the web.

Look for the Triple M 1000 card on your For You tab, the Radio tab or any Triple M station page, then tap to vote.

Do I need a LiSTNR account to vote?

Yes. You need to be signed in to your LiSTNR account to vote. This lets us keep your selections safe and make sure each listener only votes once.

If you're not signed in, tapping the Triple M 1000 voting card will take you through signing in or creating a free LiSTNR account.

Does it cost anything to vote?

No. Voting is free, and creating a LiSTNR account is free too.

How to Vote

How do I vote in the Triple M 1000?

It's easy:

  1. Find the Triple M 1000: Open LiSTNR and look for the Triple M 1000 card on For You, Radio or a Triple M station page. Tap the card to get started.
  2. Sign in: Sign in to your LiSTNR account, or create a free account if you don't already have one.
  3. Search for and add ten songs: Tap + Add song and search by song title or artist. Tap + next to a song to add it to your list. Your counter will show you how many songs you've selected.
  4. Check your list: Changed your mind? Remove a song using the bin icon and choose another. Keep going until you've selected 10 of 10 songs.
  5. Submit your vote: Once you're happy with your ten songs, tap Submit vote and confirm your selections.

That's it! Your ten songs are officially in the Triple M 1000.

Can I change my mind before I submit?

Absolutely. You can add and remove songs as much as you like before submitting your vote.

Once you tap Submit vote and confirm your selections, however, your vote is final and your ten songs can't be changed, swapped or withdrawn.

So give your list one last check before you lock it in.

Choosing Your Ten

How many songs do I need to pick?

Exactly ten, no more and no fewer.

The Submit vote button won't become available until you've selected all ten songs, so you won't accidentally submit an incomplete list.

Does the order of my ten songs matter?

No. Your ten songs aren't ranked against each other.

Every song you choose counts as one vote and carries exactly the same weight, so simply pick the ten songs you think deserve a place in the Triple M 1000.

Can I pick the same song twice?

No. Each of your ten selections must be a different song.

Once you've added a song to your list, you'll see a tick beside it in the search results instead of the +.

I can't find the song I want. What should I do?

Try searching by the artist's name instead of the song title, or use a shorter part of the title.

The songs available to vote for come from Triple M's song library, rather than every song ever recorded, so there may be some tracks that aren't available.

If you still can't find your song after trying a few different searches, it isn't available to vote for in this year's Triple M 1000.

Can I change my list before I submit?

Yes. You can add or remove songs and change your selections as many times as you like before submitting.

Once you submit and confirm your vote, your ten selections are final.

Do I have to choose all ten songs in one go?

No. Your selections will save as you build your list, so you can leave and come back later.Just make sure you're signed in to the same LiSTNR account when you return and your selections will be waiting for you.

After You Submit

Can I change my votes after submitting?

No. Once you submit and confirm your ten songs, your vote is final and can't be changed.

You'll see a confirmation step before your vote is submitted, giving you one last chance to check your selections.

Can I vote more than once?

No. You can submit one Triple M 1000 vote per LiSTNR account.

This helps make sure the final countdown reflects the songs listeners genuinely want to hear.

How do I see the songs I voted for?

Go back to the Triple M 1000 card in LiSTNR and tap View your votes, or select See your Triple M 1000 votes from the voting page.

You'll be able to see your ten selections again whenever you want.

Can I share my ten songs?

Yes!

From your submitted votes, tap Share and we'll create an image of your ten selections that you can post to social media or send to anyone who needs to know they're wrong about the greatest song ever recorded.

Will I find out if my songs made the Triple M 1000?

We'll let you know when the countdown is about to begin, so make sure you have LiSTNR notifications switched on.

Then comes the fun part,  tune in to the Triple M 1000 and find out where your favourites land.

Yes. While the Triple M 1000 is running, your Triple M station page in LiSTNR will show the songs that have already been counted down and their positions.
