What does the 3G network shutdown mean for me?
Australian Telecommunication providers are turning off the 3G network on October 28th, 2024 to improve service quality and support newer technologies like 4G and 5G. This shutdown means that devices relying solely on 3G for connectivity may no longer access mobile data, affecting apps that require internet access, like LiSTNR radio streams.

Will I still be able to use the LiSTNR app?
Yes, if your device is 4g or 5g compatible or you are connected to Wi-Fi.

Please note, if your device is limited to 3G, you won’t be able to stream using mobile data after the network is shut off.

Will the 3G shutdown impact app performance on 4G and 5G devices?
No, the 3G shutdown will not impact users with 4G or 5G devices. The change only impacts those still reliant on the 3G network for mobile connectivity.

What if I need help switching from a 3G device?
Most mobile carriers offer guidance and options for upgrading to 4G or 5G. We recommend contacting your provider for information on device upgrades.
